Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh dill or fresh parsley as a substitute
  • 1 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion optional
  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, dill pickles, fresh dill or parsley, lemon juice, sugar, black pepper, and onion if using.
  • Stir the mixture thoroughly until all components are well combined. Adjust the flavor by incorporating additional lemon juice or pickles to suit your preference.

Notes

For best results, allow the sauce to rest in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
