Ingredients

  • cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • cup water

Instructions

  • Combine white sugar, water, vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and ketchup in a medium-sized saucepan. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Continue to stir as the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
