Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups pretzels roughly crushed
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400º F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of sugar until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Spread the pretzel mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before crumbling into pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese for 2 to 4 minutes, or until light and fluffy. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and continue to mix until well incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the drained pineapple and the thawed whipped topping until everything is well mixed. Allow the mixture to set in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle the crumbled pretzel mixture over the top and fold it in gently. Serve and enjoy!
