Succulent and richly flavored, these barbecue pork ribs are effortlessly prepared in the air fryer, yielding a tender, juicy finish in under 40 minutes. Ideal for a satisfying midweek dinner.
13 lb rack of pork baby back ribs, halved and membrane discarded
Instructions
Generously apply the barbecue rub across both sides of the halved rib rack, ensuring an even coating.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Once heated, place the ribs meat-side down in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
Use metal tongs to carefully flip the ribs over, then continue cooking at 380°F for an additional 10 minutes.
After cooking, uncover the basket and evenly brush the ribs with barbecue sauce. Increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F and cook for 5 minutes more.
Remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest briefly before serving. Add extra sauce if a more indulgent coating is preferred.
Notes
Cooking times apply specifically to pork baby back ribs; if using beef ribs, additional time may be necessary. A large-capacity air fryer (5.3 qt or greater) is recommended for fitting the full rib portions.
