Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 –2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 21-ounce cans apple pie filling
  • ½ cup 1 stick cold salted butter, cut into cubes

Instructions

  • Set the oven to preheat at 400°F. Empty the contents of both apple pie filling cans into an 8x8-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Dust the surface of the filling with ground cinnamon to enhance the flavor.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, add the flour and sugar along with the cubed cold butter.
  • Utilize a fork or pastry cutter to integrate the butter into the dry mixture until it forms a crumbly texture resembling coarse pebbles.
  • Incorporate the chopped pecans into the crumble topping, mixing to distribute evenly.
  • Evenly scatter the topping mixture over the prepared apple filling in the dish.
  • Position the dish on the center rack of the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top has turned a light golden hue and the filling is visibly bubbling around the edges.
