  • 1.5 lbs cube steak
  • 1 package onion soup mix 1 ounce
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounces each
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • In a 6-quart crockpot, arrange the cube steak at the bottom, then sprinkle with the onion soup mix. Pour the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth over the top.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the cube steak becomes tender.
  • One hour before serving, combine the cornstarch and water in a small bowl, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir this cornstarch mixture into the crockpot, then continue cooking on high for another hour to thicken the gravy.
  • While the gravy is thickening, prepare the egg noodles according to the package directions.
  • Serve the cube steak and gravy over the cooked egg noodles. Enjoy this hearty and delicious meal!
